Dr. Gruszcynski was born and raised in Saint Johns, Michigan. Growing up, she was always fascinated with going to the dentist. She knew that she wanted to have a career in the healthcare field and her fond memories of the dentist as a child led her towards the dental field. She worked as a clinical assistant at a dental office in high school and during her summer, solidifying her passion for dentistry even more. She was dedicated to her education and graduated in the Top Ten of her high school class.
After high school, she attended Michigan State University and earned her Bachelors of Science in Nutritional Sciences with a Health Promotion Specialization with Honors in 2015. She was a member of the Honors College, earning a distinguished Honors College Degree. She then attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. During her time there, she earned the Periodontal Award, the Lucile Conger scholarship, the Abigail Lawler scholarship, and several departmental scholarships. During her last two years in the program, she worked in the evenings as a guided study leader for the first and second-year students, mentoring them in pre-clinic. She graduated in May 2019, second overall in her class, earning the Periodontics Award, and was inducted into the dental honors fraternity, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She practiced dentistry for a few years in Michigan before making the move to the St. Petersburg area.
She is dedicated to performing the absolute best care for her patients and has a passion for helping patients of all ages overcome dental fear. She loves working with pediatric patients and helping develop good dental habits from an early age. She loves keeping up to date with the latest dental technology and learning new advancements in dental care.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, having completed five half marathons over the past 10 years. She also enjoys camping with her family all over the State of Michigan. She is so pleased to be a member of the amazing team at Dental Arts Ninth Street and is excited to serve the patients in the St. Petersburg community!
